Dynaproofed CanvasTM
The DynaproofedTM production process ensures the chemical formulation is penetrated into the yarns of the base fabric. This is achieved by fully immersing the fabric into a padding bath and then sqeezing the formulation into the fibres. This system also allows the fabric to "breathe" as the woven base fabric is not sealed by a coating.
Waterproofed
The Dynaproofed process guarantees to be waterproof with every batch of canvas being produced to exacting standards and tested for Hydrostatic pressure as well as Cone Test leakage.
UV & Rot/Mildew Resistant
The DynaproofedTM chemical formulation also combines for resistance against degration caused from harmful UV, as well as resistance against bacteria, algae and fungi growth.
Breathable
While the canvas guarantees to be waterproof, the technically superior production system for the DynaproofedTM Canvas fabrics ensures the chemical formulation is dully immersed into the base fabric and squeezed into the fibres. Unlike coated fabrics, this exclusive DynaproofedTM process allows for the unique fabric attributes of both waterproofness and breathability therefore reducing the possibility of condensation forming inside the tent.
Construction and Dimension stability
DynaproofedTM fabrics are chemically treated to remove residual weaving lubricants. During this preparation treatment the fabric is also processed to control the shrinkage and dimensional stability of the canvas and to allow for "take-up" of the seams after sewing.
Other Inferior Coated Canvas
Condensation beads tend to gather due to sealed surface of the canvas. White unprotected yarns also appear on fabric edges and seams after cutting and sewing. The longetivity of the coating is also compromised by abrasion as the formulation is scraped onto the fabric surface only.
The canvas walls are available in individual sections or as a complete package. To explain the individual sections, please refer to the diagram below :

- It can sleep 2 adults comfortably
- It can be zipped on in a single action in minutes
- The floor is sewn in so it is a one piece item
- The floor is high quality PVC able to be a barrier to water and moisture in the ground. It rises above the ground by approx 75mm
- The entry into and out of the bedroom is through the rear Kamper Mesh Door (was a window in prior models)
- There is one large window on the Kitchen Side which has a zipped over cover from the outside.
- There are NO POLES
- There are 2 pegs and optional ropes needed
Specifications:
- 2100mm long and 1675mm wide
- lightweight polyester, mildew resistant, UV stable and Waterproof – similar to that used in heavy duty lightweight tents. Weighs approx 5 kgs
- Same YKK Zips and Zip Flap System as used on Kamper
- It still allows the Ensuite Bathroom to Zip onto side.
Other Inclusions as Standard
- Tropical Fly for Hot Weather velcros on top of Kamper and requires 2 more pegs (used on Test Trek – great in really hot weather)
- Internal integrated LED light has light on REAR wall of Kamper permanently in a vertical position (outside light when no second bedroom). This has cable which plugs into 12V Narva inside Kamper
Photo Above shows Pegs Only and no ropes – very fast setup (less than 5 mins)

3. Announcing the new KWIK Awning for 2008
THIS IS RETROFITABLE TO ALL KIMBERLEY KAMPERS FROM 2002 onwards
2m wide x 6.7m long (for older models 6.3mLong)
The principles are:
Stays Zipped onto Kamper all the time.
The 2 end triangular corners fold under the awning roof and Velcro up underneath. In this configuration, the awning is a parallelogram shape.
There are 2 poles that are overhead bars which “push” the awning out with web tabs sewn onto the awning to receive the small post of the pole. These roof poles are supported by J clamps and vertical 45 degree (approx) poles that clip onto the kamper body (we are using the over centre catch base piece also used to close the camper. Because the awning cant be erected with a closed camper there is no conflict of use.
To adjust the awning, the vertical bars are pushed out further. The awning has a scalloped edge.
When you need more cover and/ or the wind picks up, the 2 end sections are pulled away from Velcro and poles are used in the usual way.
When we tested this at 13.5knot (25km/hr) winds, it was fine. But if the wind went over say 20 knots, you would have to use the end poles.
What is clever:
For sun/dew protection just use it with no poles
For stronger wind or more coverage, pull out and use 1 or 2 poles.
For more Kitchen Protection without having to put up walls: just lower the corner at the kitchen end to form a triangular wind break!
Easy access into Kamper without running into poles and pegs on side.
It is approx 6.7m long and 2 m wide
Note 2 poles are still required for front awning over Gullwing- we are working on a system of onnecting these to the kamper so no pegs but in high wind you have to peg out!
